Meet Dr. Naseer

Sahar Y. Naseer, MD, is a talented dermatologist at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery in Smithtown and Hampton Bays, New York. With her extensive background in research, she brings fresh ideas to the table for each of her patients’ treatment plans. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, she was selected to be a part of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society due to her skills and achievements.

Dr. Naseer earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where she graduated with honors in 2009. She then moved south to Washington, DC, to attend Georgetown University for her master’s degree in biophysiology. After completing it in just one year, she moved to New York to earn her medical degree through The State University of New York Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Buffalo University, where she graduated summa cum laude

After finishing her formal education, Dr. Naseer continued training with a pediatric preliminary year at Cohen Children’s Medical Center/Northwell Health in Queens, New York. For her postgraduate year two, she moved back to Buffalo, New York, for a dermatology residency. She continued with another dermatology residency at Brown University Alpert School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Naseer’s many awards and distinguishments across her education, training, and budding career speak for themselves. She earned multiple awards at Buffalo University for her excellence in research and earned the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Certificate of Commendation. At MDCS, she continues to stand out as an outstanding leader and treats her patients with kindness and compassion.

When she isn’t in the office assessing skin conditions or educating patients on how to care for their skin, Dr. Naseer loves to spend her time traveling, swimming to stay in shape, and improving her cooking skills.
