Meet Dr. Zain Husain, MD, FAAD

Zain Husain, MD, FAAD, is a dual board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery in Marlboro, New Jersey.

Dr. Husain was accepted into an accelerated and highly competitive seven-year dual program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He graduated the BA/MD program with high academic honors and completed his residency training in dermatology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where he served as chief resident in his final year. 

He also completed a dual fellowship program in cosmetic dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Husain received extensive training in several cosmetic procedures, including body contouring, laser surgery, aesthetic injectables, as well as advanced skin cancer surgery. 

Upon completion of his fellowship training, he started his medical career working at a private practice in Washington, D.C. and worked as a clinical instructor of dermatology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. 

As a New Jersey native, Dr. Husain decided to return back to his hometown and founded his practice, New Jersey Dermatology and Aesthetics Center, a premier dermatology practice that uses state-of-the-art technology and provides a warm, welcoming environment for medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatologic care.

Dr. Husain is always committed to delivering meaningful and compassionate care for all of his patients. He spends time listening to their concerns first before examining their skin health and educating them on their condition. Dr. Husain sees treatment as a partnership between the doctor and patient and guides patients to make the best decisions to address their skin concerns and goals. 

In addition to providing skin care at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Husain enjoys lecturing at national conferences and publishing his research in esteemed medical journals. He is also a lifelong learner and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Surgery. 

In his free time, he loves staying active by running and weightlifting and enjoys quality time watching movies, traveling, and exploring with his pediatrician wife and their two daughters.
